HYDRA does not support special characters for all alphanumeric fields. Among these are: “\“
(backslash), “|“ (Pipe), “ “ “ (quotation marks), and “ ’ “ (inverted comma), since they cannot be
entered at shop floor terminals and MOC does not support them.
The character “ ; “ (semicolon) is used as a separator in the system and must not be used in
key fields (e.g. order / operation number, MES batch number, personnel number).
The character “ % “ (percent sign) is used as a wildcard/placeholder for database
communication. Hence, its usage should be avoided, as otherwise the result could be falsified.
